Our in-house metagenomics & ML cloud pipeline generates taxonomic, genomic, and protein annotations that we embed into our knowledge graph together with geographic, geochemical, and environmental metadata. From our knowledge graph, we then design AI-guided protein and genomics solutions for our customers across the Bioindustry.

About the job

As a fast growing startup, we are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join the team. This role will be full-time, based physically in our central London office.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, you will take care of a variety of operational tasks including logging and responding to tickets, system administration for on-premise equipment, desktop troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and liaising with vendors and 3rd party consultants.

About you

• Relevant experience in IT support and system administration

• Experience in desktop troubleshooting, maintenance and training 

• A passion for streamlining and optimising the way people interact with IT systems

• An interest learning more about biotechnology and what we do

• Proficiency in system administration for MacOS

• Some experience with Linux system administration

• Experience with Identity Management and SSO systems

• Experience with MDM and Endpoint management systems

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers and networking

• Willingness to adapt to different technologies and services as required

• Ability to work in a fast growth startup environment

• Fluency in English

Additional skills (desired but not required):

• Experience with a cloud provider 

• Some knowledge of a programming or scripting language (we use Python, Go and Bash)

• Some knowledge of configuration management or IaC frameworks (Ansible, Terraform)
